To provide water stakeholders with reliable information, simulation models, in-depth water knowledge and tools for solving water problems


We are a team of hydrologists and ICT experts who understand the responsibility we have to society and are seeking sustainable, innovative environmental solutions to urgent water problems. We work closely together with consultants, research organisations and clients, both in and outside the Netherlands.

Our clients include environmental agencies, ministries, water boards, provinces, municipalities and the European Commission. We carry out commercial and research projects and have two offices in Amersfoort and Delft.

To perform our work at a high level, we need various data sources to provide us with information on the state of water systems and environmental hazards. Modern monitoring systems are vital for our climate services. We use data from telemetry satellites, and meteorological information from weather bureaus.  

Water professionals need the right information of the right quality to perform their work effectively. We therefore focus on high-quality services, on ensuring reliable and consistent information, on simulation models, and tools, and in-depth water knowledge to support our decision-making. 

The tools we provide run as web-based hydro-informatics solutions on portals and mobile phone applications with customisable dashboards, GIS-based viewers and graphical presentations of key information for strategic and operational water management. Real-time data handling, secure ICT infrastructure, alerting, historic data and user-friendly interfaces are essential elements of our services.

We provide international services in the water themes displayed in the circle.  

  • Water safety and security:  Risk analysis on the basis of high-resolution modelling of fluvial and pluvial floods using 1D/2D simulations of inundation, dike and dam breaches. Drought analysis based on climatologic indicators. Water Safety plans and optimised flood risk management in rural and urban environments. 
  • Regional water management: Integrated water-system analysis and water-infrastructure studies. 
  • Urban water management: Analysis of integrated water-cycle processes, including rainfall, surface flooding, storm-water drainage, groundwater, receiving waters, water supply and wastewater with treatments. 
  • Smart water networks: Monitoring, modelling, optimisation and control of water-supply systems, demand forecasting, detection of leakage hot-spots, optimisation, energy efficiency, emergency planning and renewal planning.
  • Hydro-meteorology: Provision of high quality meteorological information and online analysis tools. Model-based merging of Earth Observation data with monitoring networks. 
  • Decision-support systems: Real-time probabilistic forecasting and analysis of floods and droughts; warning and flood control.
